My son got a hold to my USB cable and tore it up. However, I quickly went on this website to find a replacement. Little did I know, I could get TWO PlayStation-branded USB cables for the price of one. When I received them, I saw that they were 10 feet long. That is crazy. Now, I can keep the cable hooked up to my controller, without having to disconnect it and wait for it to charge, once the battery does die. I can just sit back on my couch and just play. Of course, I did not have that luxury with the 5 foot USB cable, which came with the PS3. I had to constantly disconnect the cable, so I could sit on the couch and play. I also love the way these are made. The connectors are 24 karat gold-plated. In addition, it has dual screen shielding with aluminized mylar foil plus 90% coverage copper braid.
