This was the 2nd game that I finished on my PS3--the first being Half Life 2 on the Orange Box. This is a great game for FPS fans and delivers plenty of scares and jumps. Like Half Life 2, you have to deal with a flashlight that only lasts about 20 seconds or so. Although this is gimicky, it adds an intensity to the game as you don't want to use the flashlight unless you absolutely have to as you don't want to find yourself getting attacked in the dark. They took this part out of F.E.A.R. 2 which I was grateful for at first and then kind of missed as a lot of the suspense gets taken out once the flashlight works all the time. Admittedly, the graphics of this game cannot be compared to the sequel. Not even in the same category but perfectly adequate when combined with great shooting mechanics. There are a variety of cool high tech guns(that nail gun is still one of my favorite guns all time and that sniping laser gun--WOW!!) Also the slow-mo function never gets old. Blasting through 5 guys in 6 seconds and watching them slowly fall to the ground as their limbs fly off just never gets old. The only real negative is the loading times and the fact you are fighting the same enemies through the entire game. If you die, you literally wait close to 30 to 40 seconds to respawn. YOu get to hate the waits so much that you will change the difficulty down to easy just so you don't get killed!! (BTW, every game should let you change the difficulty on the fly) Overall, for what this game is selling for right now, I can still recommend it highly. I saw this controller on amazon while searching for a controller that would satisfy my needs of a Xbox360 stick layout but for the PS3 because I changed to the PS3. : ) I have had this controller for about 2 months and I'm very happy with it. Some of the complaints people make is about the L1 and R1 triggers at the top, they say that there mashy felling and I could see why they would feel that but I think their better then the Sony controller because the buttons are bigger and you won't miss them. Another complaint is about the sticks, I have not experienced any lag or zero effects as people say but the pointed up motion on the left stick does seem like a sloppy position and sounds like it overlaps the controller to much, but it has not effected my gameplay at all. Dark Void Top Quality

The flight aspect of the game is extremely cool! :D It takes some getting used to, and the initial awkwardness in taking off gets old quickly. (note to developers: there should be at least 3 different takeoff postures where the character becomes more proficient as the gamers become more adept fliers), I hope the full game version features this nuance. The "special maneuvers" were cool but limited in the demo, though I can't imagine there are more that 6 in the game...so that gets a big yawn for lack of imagination, as you've got at least 16 stick combinations on the ps3 controller!!

The hijacking was actually quite fun. . The button mashing is not confusing, just tedious. And the piloting of the vehicles is just like the jet pack, so it is very easy to pilot the various craft. The hijacking scenes were repetitive, but in the demo there is only one flying opponent vehicle (for survival it's easier to hijack opponents and eject than it is to chase them down exposed, as ONLY the enemy you're hijacking shoots at you during a hijack!).

The melee feature is rudimentary, and preferable to gunning targets when there is only one adversary remaining.
There is likely very little replay value, since the game is straightforward, and the controls will be patterned throughout the game. I'm looking forward to what more the full version offers in regard to flight and difficulty.

I logged a couple of hours on the demo version of the game before calling my local video store to ask about availability. The story is decent, but I'm not playing games to learn or be immersed in someone's contrived drama, I want to forget about my drama!Get more detail about Dark Void.

What an odd game this is, first the cons:
It is a button masher no doubt about it
Regular enemies get repetitive fast and they are little more than zombies
There's lags everywhere
Camera is just a paint in the rear
Platforming is just another pain
There is no HUD
Little replay value
You have no real incentive to learn combos o exp up
Bosses can be really cheap
There is no clear way to know where you have a check point
As far as I have seen you have infinite lives
Image clipping everywhere specially with hair

Kung Fu Panda Best Quality

First, a disclaimer: I really, really love the movie. Have watched it about a dozen times in just a month and it is fantastic in blu-ray on my PS3. So naturally, I got the PS3 version of this game, rather than on Wii, which I also have. Despite having 2 gaming systems, I am not a great or hard-core gamer. The Kung Fu Panda game has 3 levels: student; master; and Dragon Warrior, which correspond to easy, intermediate and hard. I don't know, I'm still playing the first time through on student mode. Some of it on this mode is too easy--but not for children; but some of the battles take quick reflexes which are quite challenging for the not-so-young. I think this game would be good for all ages, especially if you liked the movie.

And speaking of the movie, the directors' commentary said that ideas they left out of the movie--backstory, adventures, characters--are developed in the game. For example, Po is unable to watch the Furious Five competing to be chosen as Dragon Warrior and has to take drastic means to get into the stadium. In the game, you not only get to see Tigress fight the enormous wooden monster, you get to play as her for that event. Throughout the game you get to temporarily play as the other members of the Five and even as Master Shifu. Really fun, imaginative, and not boring or repetitive as many "based on a movie" games often are.

Warhawk (No Headset) Decide Now

This game is alot of fun. I have had it since it came out and I'm writing my first review for it now 3 years later in 2010.

Its an online only game and you can grab it at such a bargain for a mere $20. Warhawk has a following only compared to SOCOM. Plenty of people play online still and theres no problem finding a game 3 years from its release. The graphics arent Uncharted 2 amazing but they look great.

The game play is awesome. Alot of variety. You can drive tanks, jeeps, and airplanes(Warhawks). Its fun grabbing some body on the battle field in your jeep and then plowing through the opponents base,mowing down enemies while you drive and your friend shooting the turret. Did I forget to mention JET PACKS?? Yes this game has jet packs. You can grab a jet pack, fly around maps while sniping, rocket launching, grenade throwing, machine gunning, or flame throwing enemies!!!

Now, this game is an online game so of course theres ranks to move up. All the guns are pick ups in the game, so theres no unlocking guns or different vehicles. You rise through the ranks by meeting requirements. Each rank has a certain amount of points you need to acquire and a specific medal to achieve. You earn points by defeating enemies, capturing flags, capturing bases, repairing vehicles, or what ever your objective is. You earn medals by accomplishing a specific achievement. For instance destroying 5 Warhawks while in a tank, or Capturing the flag 3 times in one Capture The Flag match. Theres about 20 ranks. You unlock new gear to customize your character and new paint jobs to customize your Warhawk when ranking up as well.

Theres plenty of game modes, and the max number of players on a map is 24. I do have some complaints. One major one is Friend inviting or grouping. You cant send game invites, or meet up with your friends in a group then go right into a game and be all together. The only way to do this is one person has to create a room, then your friends have to go to there buddy list and find your name, click on it, then join your game. Its a pain, especially when you have about 5 friends that want to play with you. Plus, if your friends follow you into a game some one else made it balances out the teams. So, if all your friends wound up on the other team you won't be able to switch teams unless the there team is down a man. ANOTHER, issue is the balancing of vehicles. You can blow up a Warhawk with one tank missile, yet you can fire a barrage of missiles at a tank and it wont explode. The game is titled Warhawk yet the weakest vehicle in the game is the Warhawk.

I remember seeing this game at Gamestop for $20 so I thought I would give it a go. I am a huge fan of Sonic and it looked alot like Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 on Sega Genesis. The game looks great thats the only thing that can be said good about the game is that Sonic Team put alot of work into the graphics department. Everything else about the game is just terrible: the controls will leave you dying alot in this game and the camera is just horrible you'll have lots of death and have to position the camera with the right analog stick just to see where you are going. Its a terrible game and should of been better if Sega didn't rush out of the door with this just in time for it come out on next gen systems. Low Price PlayStation 3 G-pak Console Organizer Case (Colors May Vary)

I bought the G-Pak Console Case soon after I made my Playstation 3 purchase. As a college student that flies often, carrying the original cardboard enclosure the system came with through airport security is a total pain. You would have to open the box, slide out the system in effect removing almost everything that was in the box. This must have been great for the initial unboxing of the system when you first received it. Not so for airport security screenings.

Once this baby came in the mail, I was so happy. Not only does this thing make airport security screenings easier, but travelling with my ps3 has never been easier. There is a pocket in front where you can stash all the cables and controllers with a snug fit. I was able to fit 2 dualshocks, my hdmi cord, ps3 headset and the power cable in their without worry that everything might be crushed. The Velcro for front pouch is pretty strong, so any worries of the contents falling out is very minute.

The system can be fastened with two Velcro straps that wrap around the ps3. I've seen people use a "backpack mount" where the straps are placed vertically around the system. However, being the paranoid travelling gamer that I am, I use a cross mount. This is where the straps are wrapped diagonally on the system. Then everything is fastened by zippers that are, from what I can tell, made from pretty durable material.

One caveat though is the attached game holder. Mine came with a slightly smaller holder and it does not meet the Velcro it is supposed to be attached to quite as well because of the length. As a start, this was the first of the Harry Potter games that I have purchased. The free roaming game style was fun and easy to interact with. As a whole, the story mode of the game is short and relatively easy to progress through. The Dueling Club and Potions sections make the game longer and are fun to do. Overall, the game is not challenging but I did not purchase the game to be challenged. It was fun adn simple to play through. Way of the Samurai 3 sits on a shelf next to games like MGS4 and Uncharted 2, but won't for long. Some of us would love to see the sort of immense and passionate effort of MGS4 or Uncharted 2 put into a game with a samurai or ninja protagonist. Forums for Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2 often suggest this point, and the stealth in MGS4, Uncharted 2, and the Splinter Cell games makes me and others wish someone could manage something similar to reinvent Tenchu. I fondly recall the wicked swordplay in Bushido Blade 2, and look forward to an open-world game on modern systems that allowed such decisive consequence. Of course, GTA4 also shows us what radical possibilities exist for open-world environments on current-gen systems.

Reviews from trusted sites ignored, I jumped on a goldbox copy of Way of the Samurai 3, hoping that the samurai protagonist and the "sandbox" setting would be enough. Short, inane, ugly - Way of the Samurai 3 doesn't capitalize on either its popular protagonist or its popular setting. If you want a game that puts you in samurai shoes and that allows you to choose your development and reputation as a professional, you can craft it in your mind while playing other games, you can wait for a thoughtful and modern game that does just that, or buy this game that is a truly pathetic attempt.

I have had this remote for a while now and I found it great for the price but if you are willing to spend more, don't get this. It is powered by two AA batteries which makes the battery life very short, seeing that you can't charge it with the usb cable.The good things are you can program it to any button by holding the turbo button until it lights up, then choosing the button(s) you want to have turbo( rapidly pressing the button by just holding it is what turbo is)the letting go of the button. You can use either the PS button or the turbo button to set the speeds from fast, medium, or slow. The bad thing is that on the fastest setting, its not the fastest but still good. There are more pricey controllers that go faster but as i said, for the price, its a great deal.One real annoyance is not the sound of the d pad as some people complained, but the shape of the controller. For all those FPS games people play like Mw2 or Battlefield the bottom of the controller or the handles, are very lumpy and make your fingers at an odd position to press the shoot button. I only bought this game because I had a discount coming, and boy, am I glad I did. It's such a change from the run-of-the-mill shooters, and in a good way. No monsters, no supernatural powers, no burned out cities or faraway planets. It's a good adventure with familiar weapons, vehicles, and a beautiful African landscape.

There's plenty to keep you busy in the game, or the option to roam freely in a very large sandbox and just enjoy the scenery. Take your choice of jeep, truck, car, dune buggy, boat, hang glider, or any other vehicle you find in the game.

I was actually excited when I first bought this game, as I have enjoyed games similar to this in the past. I was extremely dissappointed when I played, as it's very boring to get going and there's a monotony of tedious things to do. I played for 3 days and have not gotten anywhere, except for finding some gold pieces. I battled a couple of minor things to at least do something, but didn't get much for it.

The worst part is there are so many things to choose from when creating and advancing your character throughout the game. MX vs ATV Reflex Best Quality

When I first popped this game in, I was amazed and played for several hours at a stretch. I was happily carving around on my tricked-out KTM, enjoying the races and jumps, free-rides, and everything else.

After a couple of days, you begin to see there's not a lot there. There aren't many tracks. There's no semblance of an official racing series or a real "career" mode.

Only KTM bikes have been licensed for the game. There are other bikes bearing the distinctive color schemes of other manufacturers, but they have made-up names.

The customization and tuning of the bikes is very simplistic. You simply tune the bike on a sliding scale between hard/soft suspension, acceleration/top speed, soft/sticky tires. The custom parts you can buy mean little - they all have the same values and do the same things, except for the look.

To complete the game you are forced to use buggies, sport trucks, etc. The choices for these vehicles are very limited and these events are uninteresting. Like most people I was only interested in the MX aspect of the game.

Another major annoyance is the frequency with which the computer riders will crash into you and knock you down. It happens far too often that you'll just be running your race and a computer rider comes from nowhere and crashes into you at speed that would cause very serious injury. Due to the lack of realism, you can still win the race often times even with a few crashes.

Next time: give us meaningful customization and tuning, make the rear tire look like it actually spins when you ride, and give us a meaningful career mode instead of the glorified string of single races.

When I initially purchased this remote, and removed it from the package, I was impressed with the quality of the construction and the layout of the buttons. I had no trouble syncing up my Samsung TV and home theater and the playstation 3 (original 60 BG model).

I happily used the remote successfully for the first day. I came back the next day to use the remote to navigate through the PS3 XMB interface and the remote mysteriously would not work. I powered everything off and back on and still nothing. I removed the batteries from the remote and resynced all of my devices to the remote once again. I watched a couple of movies on the PS3 and tried to use the remote once again and it was not responding.

After going to the blulink website, there was not any meaningful information on the issues I was experiencing with the remote. I searching on various forums for any other users having this issue and evidently, there is an "undocumented" issue with the blulink remotes where the bluetooth goes to "sleep" after a couple of hours of non usage of the remote. This results in a "unpairing" of the blulink remote from the PS3.

Consequently, if I left the blulink remote idle for longer than a couple of hours, I had to re pair the remote to the PS3 constantly. Obviously, this is not an acceptable solution so I ended up having to return the remote.

You cannot go wrong with super ninja action. I had a wonderful time playing this game. The main bonus of this game over the first Sigma title is that it is longer and there are difficulty options. For first time ninja gaiden players, you can choose an easy difficulty so you don't break your tv with the controller. I'd never played any of the previous four AITD video games so I figured I'd be lost an unable to keep up with this one, but the previews looked good so I added it to my wishlist, where it remained until the price came down.

You play as Edward Carnby, a man who has lost his memory. Edward wakes up in a crumbling Central Park West apartment building. A supernatural force is ripping through the walls and turning the inhabitants into mutated killers. A huge earthquake rips Manhattan apart and on top of that there are ugly monsters spawning all over the park. But the main strength of the game is the oppressive, claustrophobic atmosphere that turns a supposedly safe environment bustling with people (Manhattan island) into a lonely, apocalyptic nightmare. As a survival horror it's not as good as the Resident Evil series, and it doesn't have tension that made those games so good. I never felt scared to look around a corner or felt fear of what was lurking in the darkness beyond the character's view. But it's fast moving enough and gives you plenty of monsters to shoot at (though it's never satisfying enough and totally bloodless). It's also the 86th game in a row I've played that features Central Park.

Despite my complaining, I never got bored with the game or felt it was hard to control (I played the PS3 version, which improves on the Xbox 360 release). Though when driving around a shrub or a bush is completely impenetrable to a two-ton car and it's kinda infuriating. The fact that trophies are handed out left, right and centre makes up for it.

The ending hints at a sequel, which has yet to materialize. But AITD is a fine way to spend a few bucks and a few days playing.

I purchased these cables based on another review on Amazon. I replaced the red/yellow/white AV cables with these and really cleared up the fuzzy video on my Vizio 32" flat screen TV. Low Price Tom Clancy's EndWar

Wow! It has the simplicity of tic-tac-toe and the complexity of playing multiple chess matches simultaneously. The first couple times I played was without a headset. Even with the headset on the first few times I thought it was going to be too difficult to play and enjoy. There is a steep learning curve but the basics can be conquered in a few days of playing it.

I started with the solo-game. The first section which is about nine battles is also a tutorial. It teaches you the basics of the game. You have to learn what each unit does and how best to use them in battle to achieve your objectives. You also have to learn how to get them to do what you want them to do. That's where voice control comes in.

Once you get beyond the "Prelude to War" missions you then begin battling for World domination. You are presented with a global map and each of the three factions US/Europe/Russia battle each turn for control of more territory. You choose which "City" of territory to go after or you can defend one of your "cities" from attack. My first choice was to battle the European forces that had gained control of a city in Florida. At the end of my battle win or lose the system will show you the "new" global map; who now controls what.

The objectives of each mission so far have been one of two things. You either attack or defend by destroying ALL the hostile forces or gaining control of more uplinks and holding them until the timer expires. That's the tic-tac-toe of it. If there are nine uplinks you have to control 5 then hold til the timer expires to win. You decide which units to bring to the battle. You decide which uplinks to go after and in what order. You decide which reinforcements to call up during the battle. That's the multi-chess part of it. It gets hot and heavy and very dynamic. You are continually assessing the situation, ordering units movements and actions, monitoring battles, extracting units to fight another day, ordering specific reinforcements and on and on, during the battle.

One of the key elements is your command vehichle. Without one you cannot have a satellite view of the battle field; which is the easiest way to command and control your units and know where the enemy is. I lost mine during a battle and lost the battle. I felt blind as a bat.

An uplink is a bunker that is used as a place to be controlled to achieve victory. It can be upgraded to help you use your advanced skills (Airstrikes, Electronic Warefare, etc...). My strategy to date has been to capture the most centrally located uplink and use it as a springboard to capture other uplinks. I'll station my artillery there because usually they can reach hostiles closing in on the other uplinks (tic-tac-toe). The battle can be and is most successfully fought using the satellite view aka sitrep.

There is so much to like about this game. If you like War games and Real-time-Strategy games, you are going to LOVE this one. I am already thoroughly enjoying it and I've still got tons to learn.

One last thing I enjoy. You can get a mission brief before each battle. Pay attention to your intell and objectives. What you have to accomplish and what the opposition is going to throw at you should dictate your tactics and what units you bring to the battle. Also when you transition to the WWIII phase you get to decide what your Battalion consists of from a choice of Battalion types. Airborne has more air units, Tactical has more Tanks, Assault is more balanced and is what I chose. You can also upgrade your units from the currency you earn in battle. You get graded on each mission and earn credits to be used to upgrade.

I have not played online in the "Theater of War" mode yet. Trying to hone my skills cause I'm thinking the competition is going to be tough online.

Save SOCOM: US Navy Seals Confrontation Stand Alone

Yes I too am a fan of SOCOM 3 and Combined Assault which they made for the PS2. I too would rather play the campaign mode in single player, with an occasional stroll onto online play. However, a lot of the negative reviews that I read were from people who said they didn't know the game was online only when they bought it. It states on the packaging that it is online only, and with all the reviews available online today, plus clips you can find on You Tube, it should have taken a minute to confirm that this is an online only game.

But, that said it is difficult to understand why Slant Six would take this successful franchise (and one of my personal favorites) and make it an online mode only. I think the obvious answer is that they knew they could cash in quick and make some huge profits. You must realize that some companies don't care about their reputation or where they will be 10 years from now. They get in, make a bundle of money, get out, and then resurface a few years later under a different company name.

The graphics are not terrible but they aren't anything special either. Certainly not what you would expect for a PS3 game. In fact I think the graphics on Combined Assault were probably better. The online play is about what you would expect - sometimes fun if you get into a good game, but an equal number of times there's a bunch of dingleberrys on there ruining your gaming experience. However, I haven't had any connectivity issues or getting booted out of games like I've heard other people mention. And the game has been out for going on 2 years now, and there are still many, many people playing online.

I like the interface of the game and I like how you can customize your two players. You get a "commando" and a "mercenary." If they would have made the in-game graphics as good as the interface graphics, that would have been awesome! Also, where's the SOCOM music? The main theme song for both SOCOM 3 and Combined Assault were fantastic! Some of the best gaming theme songs out there. This game has none. Another disappointment.

I think your enjoyment of this game will hinge on how good you become at online play. I've been playing it for about a week, and plan to keep on playing it for now, but there are a lot of skilled players online and it takes a lot of play hours I think to learn the maps, where the best sniping spots are, where is a good place to hide, etc. And there are always gonna be fools ruining the online gaming experience. Let's hope, however, that SOCOM 4 which is due out in fall is a much better game with a well-developed campaign mode.

The gel material is really comfortable. The only problem is during heavy action when they come right off the thumb sticks. I guess you could glue them on to alleviate the problem, but I would think this would have been addressed during development. This game doesn't follow the movie storyline, thank God for that.

I have a hard time recamending this system. First off I,ve only brought about 5 games for my ps3 2 of witch I never played. between the other 3 Hevenly sword, folklore, and valkyria I dought I have 100 gaming hours on my disc drive. and its already failed.
